… To my own little bloggity world. Most people that know me, or that have the misfortune of following my cat-blown-out Instagram page, know that I have a love for all things visually & ascetically pleasing. I love creating a good vignette of flea market finds mixed with an organic element or Chapters Indigo™ item (paper goods junkie, here here). I love a clean but fun put together look, both in home design and in fashion. And I love a good DIY. And my cat.
So basically I’m like every other blogger out there. Right? Maybe in your opinion. But I like to think that I have something different to offer. I live in a city I love, that has an element of big city feels with a small town personality, and I hope you’ll follow along as I continue to explore all the amazing things Kingston and its surroundings has to offer.
A little insight into why I decided to bite the bullet and start a blog:
I’ve been following blogs for years now, whether they be to sharpen up on the latest fashion trends, to find the best deals, learn the latest lifehacks and DIY’s or finding a new yummy dish to prepare… but in doing this I have also gotten to know some in the blogger community from behind my screen, reading about their favourite things or current life struggles. And I’ve enjoyed it. A lot. And I’ve learned. A lot. About blogging, branding, and just full out surrounding yourself with things and moments you love, and sharing that with the world. At the risk of overloading you on corniness… What really pushed me was when I posted this photo on Instagram, including the hashtag: #wannabeblogger
Which was followed by some more encouragement from friends and family. “Seriously, why don’t you start a blog?!”
So here I am. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t apprehensive. I’m wary of commitment (my childhood diaries generally consisted of two or three entries and then a “sorry diary, I haven’t written in a while. Bye.” And that was the end of that, until I moved on to the next one [let’s be real, it was really all about the cute stationary for me even back then]). I will try to remain consistent and creative. I will aspire to interest you and be a place of inspiration. But mostly I will try this bloggity thing out for myself.
Your flower loving friend.
